
Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said Allah Almighty bestows his special blessings on those who serve the humanity with selflessness and dedication adding that service to humanity is the noblest act in this mortal world. While addressing as chief guest at a mass wedding ceremony organized by a nongovernmental welfare organization, Ummah Global Relief where 25 couples were tied into knot. The ceremony was also addressed by finance minister Chaudhry Latif Akbar, parliamentary secretary Saddaf Sheikh, central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir Sheikh Hameed and country director Ummah Global Relief Mohsin Saeed. Others who were present on the occasion included minister for information Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, minister for forests Sardar Javed Ayub, minister for public works Chaudhry Muhammad Rasheed, minister for AKLAS Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, deputy speaker legislative assembly Shaheen Dar and representatives of media and civil society organizations. The prime minister said that PPP government in Azad Kashmir under the dynamic leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and Madam Faryal Talpur was taking a number of initiatives to provide relief to the people of Azad Kashmir. Saying that PPP considers politics and service to humanity as core values of its politics, the Prime Minister maintained that Islam is name of serving the downtrodden and have nots. He expressed his gratitude to the Ummah Global Relief for pooling its resources for mass weddings of poor, destitute and orphans.
