Thousands Protest Russia Election

The exchange of allegations has been made between the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as Hillary has regarded the parliamentary election as unfair in her statements. Putin has responded to these remarks by accusing United States of interference in the internal matters of Russia. With these statements, the relationship between the two states has entered into an unpleasant position once again.

Hillary Clinton has shown concerns about the fairness of the election process. "Russian voters deserve a full investigation of electoral fraud and manipulation," she said in her statement. “The Russian people, like people everywhere, deserve the right to have their voices heard and their votes counted,” she said in her comments in Germany during her stay for a conference.

Russian Prime Minister has also accused United States of supporting the protestors who are his opponents by funding their protests. "They heard this signal and with the support of the U.S. State Department began their active work," Putin said while countering the allegations. He calls this an effort by United States to destabilize their country which is a nuclear power.

The recent elections in Russia are being criticized by the protestors who claim that they are not conducted honestly. The number of protestors is rising every day and they are demanding investigations for the election results. Hillary’s comments are further encouraging the protestors who are becoming more aggressive about the subject. The Central Election Commission is assuring the people of carrying out detailed inquiry and bringing out the true picture.

Along with the protests in the streets, another mode of raising the voice against the election scam is the internet that is being used to spread the message all over the country. The protestors are uploading the pictures and videos as a proof of the fraud done in the voting process. The authorities doubt the authenticity of these evidences calling for an investigation about them as well.

The protests are being closely monitored by the police and the Prime Minister is also giving out warnings to the protestors about taking action against them if they are working for an outsider’s interests. The protests are getting intense and people are being arrested by the police as well. Such kinds of large scale protests have been observed in the country after along time. The protestors are not afraid of the police action and are ready to have clashes with them if they are forced to stop.
