Swiss police reports that two anonymous individuals attacked the Iranian Embassy in Bern by throwing explosives towards it.
According to the Associated Press, today the Swiss police authorities claimed in their statement that the Iranian Embassy was attacked by 2 anonymous individuals. The police declared that their identity is unknown and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
The attack happened at 3 pm local time when the attackers threw stones and explosives towards the embassy.
There still has not been any report published about the potential damage of this attack and Bern police reports that the attackers were arrested and they are now under investigation by agents.
Earlier the Swiss foreign ministry had added its voice to the worldwide condemnation of Tuesday’s attack on the British Embassy in Tehran. Switzerland called on those responsible to be put on trial, and demanded that the security of diplomats be guaranteed.
Some experts believe there might be a connection between today's attacks and the occupation attempt of the British Embassy in Tehran on Tuesday. Dozens of Iranian students attacked the British Embassy on Tuesday and took 6 people hostage.
