Google StreetView spies on Burning House

It is amazing what can be spotted on Google Earth as you toggle to Google Street View. Here is guy passed out after too many drinks somewhere in his neighborhood. What is interesting about this story is that this "drunk Aussie was shaken awake by police" and he was hoping that none of his neighbors had seen him collapsed on the curb. Unfortunately that was not the case. The whole world was watching on Google Street View...

Only five countries don't have the metric system including the US...maybe it is time US got caught up with the world.

Posted By MrAnon MrAnon | about 1 year ago

The Brit's don't care for the Frenchy metric system either, and I don't blame them. Thats my 1/2 a shillings worth at least

Only 3 countries: Liberia, Myanmar & the US

Yes, and there's Canada.  It's 10C outside, but I cook chicken at 250F, the news says we got 2.5 cm of snow, but my friends say "1 inch," if I ask directions I'm as likely to be told kilometers as miles, we use 8.5 by 11 inch paper, but my gas is sold by the litre...

..and, of course, we blame it on the Americans!

In the U.K. it's still pints of beer.and miles per hour, also ounces of gold + grass,

and six-feet tall!

And still no Euros.

And in horse racing ,they must run a few furlongs to win the 1,000 guineas .

All very metric!!

Malaysia, the one just below Thailand, officially uses the metric system but the old ways never go away. Why should it when it's good business, especially in regards to weights and measures. You see, over here the traders rip off the people by using low tech balances to weigh stuff. And they use local units of measurement for trading. Of course, there are modern machines to do this but like I said, what for?

You can't say the UK is metric, just yet. Distances are still sadly in imperial units (miles). Other than that, the UK is mostly metric.

hunter152, correct me if I'm wrong, but Hawaii is also an American state, so it's only 3 countries.

As Wikipedia (fountain of all knowledge) says: "Three nations have not officially adopted the International System of Units as their primary or sole system of measurement: Liberia, Myanmar and the United States."

I used google map before and it's good to have especially when you're out of the country...you wouldn't get lost... but then some areas can't be clearly located yet...

Google should add another side to it; not leaving a single person alone! And maybe, with the advancing technology, we might not be even left alone in our washroom in the near future!

somebody seems to have forgotten that the UK (parent and educator to the USA) still has the imperial system for everything, and not the bloody froggy metric
