'No' to NATO by Pakistan after troops killed--has Ron Paul been right all along? (Video)

Ron Paul supporter and Twitter friend, Dwayne Williams sent me this urgent message about the crises going on Saturday morning between the United States and Pakistan where NATO jets and helicopters attacked military outposts in northwest Pakistan killing at least 24-28 troops which caused Pakistan to stop the flow of vital supplies to NATO/ISAF troops, according to Reuters.

Dwayne says, I am very afraid for my Country and the world. If you are like me and follow the news around the globe to better understand the world we live in then you, as I, understand that world security and peace is breaking down at a breathtaking pace.

I woke up this morning and clicked on my favorite news site to catch up on the recent news and what did I see?

Wow. I am at a loss for words. When the strain in the Middle East couldn't seem to get any worse, it just did by a stupendous margin.

It just seems to me that we, no matter what the intentions, are digging ourselves into a hole that will only result in a Global War and that my friends and fellow Americans can only lead to death, destruction and misery for us, as well as every person on the planet.

Americans should be outraged!

It's going to be your young boys and young women, yes your sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sent over to put out this inferno.

They will have to reinstate a draft. Our forces are stretched too thin to support any other military engagements at current troop strengths if this thing breaks out on a bigger scale and it looks more and more likely that it will, soon.

If only we would listen to Ron Paul. The man knows what he is talking about. The current situation in the Middle East is bearing the fruit of what he has warned about for many many years. We have ignored his warnings and will thus reap what we have sown.

It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. --Henry Ford

According to Newsmax.TV, This world has become a dangerous place due to President Barack Obama’s policies which has aggravated a Middle east situation that could end up in an all-out war with a nuclear-armed Iran, Frank Gaffney says.

An individual on Twitter agrees with Ron Paul's stand and Dwayne's assessment by tweeting: leomonte63 25 dead in Pakistan...Drone warfare is no way to fight a war...too much collateral damage. Ron Paul is correct!

Yes. Ron Paul has been right all along.

Just as he predicted the mess with the economy, in his book A Foreign Policy of Freedom, he predicted the war problems.

EveMarie, he prophesied this and the financial downfall--when will people wake up! Thanks for commenting.
Reply By EveMarie EveMarie | 6 months ago
Yes, he did, Stephanie.
And sadly, people in America are down-right stupid. They get their news from the MSM, which of course has an agenda. Fox and MSNBC are both examples of "controlled opposition". Both are CFR owned. They work for the same status quo. They operate to keep us fighting, left against right, black against white, rich against poor. And in the end, we ALL lose.

Ron Paul 2012 or BUST. Register Republican to vote for him in the PRIMARY. Then educate everyone who will listen. If you don't understand Dr. Paul's policies, LOOK IT UP! See, in his words, why he takes these positions. 99% of the time, once you do, you will agree with him.
Thanks for letting me rant!

I wonder if this is how Mitt, the two Ricks, Michelle, and Herman think that you win friends?

Who needs Taliban recruiters when we have this kind of firepower from NATO?

As a father I am upset.

I value the lives of the Pakistanis and the Iraqis and even the Iranian civilians. Their leaders are the problem. Just like here in the US. Citizens are great but the leaders are wrong.

Dr. Paul is right because the middle east cultures view history through a thousand year lens. USA seems to look through a 4 year lens due to elections. We are pushing people too hard and too fast. when people feel cornered they make bad decisions. We need free trade and time to allw our example to influence them.

Look at our USA history. We didn't have equal rights for a long time through our history. We need to be willing to give people a few hundred years to get their culture up to date, but even if they don't want to live by our standards, we shouldn't persuade with the barrel of a machine gun.

Ron Paul 2012 so my son doesn't get drafted.

Santorum and Gingrich are wrong to be so hawkish.
Romney and Bachman are wrong to support torture.
Cain is just plain old wrong. Seen any interviews lately?

Dr. Paul is right most of the time and has been for many years. The said thing is that some people still won't wake up to the truth of what he is saying even after a tragic escalation on engagement that results in Pakistani troops dying at the hands of NATO.

Something tells me that if Ike Eisenhower, George Marshall and Omar Bradley were alive today, they'd all be in Ron Paul's corner. I suppose I should mention George Washington as well, since he said it best:

"Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all. Religion and morality enjoin this conduct; and can it be, that good policy does not equally enjoin it? It will be worthy of a free, enlightened, and at no distant period a great nation, to give to mankind the magnanimous and too novel example of a people always guided by an exalted justice and benevolence. Who can doubt that in the course of time and things, the fruits of such a plan would richly repay any temporary advantages, which might be lost by a steady adherence to it?"

They wont reinstitute a draft.

Conscription is the only thing that would make Americans abandon the world view that we are divided into collective groups (Democrat vs Republican, 53% vs whatever, Fox vs MSNBC, etc) and band together for a common cause. It would wake the populace. It's the last thing the government wants because their power depends on the people being divided.

Even the most ardent armchair Neocon who would vote to bomb Iran tomorrow wouldn't get off the couch to fight themselves, or send their son or daughter to fight for what they know accounts for nothing. The whole hawk mentality is built on the assumption that you won't actually have to lift a finger yourself. Newt actively dodged the draft, yet loves to send our kids to die. Let's put Obama on the war field and see how he does.

As long as it's someone else, war is great. Politicians know that a draft would essentially be political suicide.

It's up to the American people to stand up and force accountability for the thousands of our sons and daughters who have shed blood on foreign sands to protect the wealthy who are living lavishly on the funds they stole from hard working American taxpayers.

We must remember: the government works for the AMERICAN PEOPLE. Banks work for the AMERICAN PEOPLE. Corporations work for the AMERICAN PEOPLE. We must be cooperative and complicit for the plans of the elite to work. We outnumber them 1,000,000 to 1.

Politicians and the merchants of war treat our military like their personal world militia. The wars we fight are solely to protect the power and wealth of the very few. When we are able to wake up and band together, only then will we stop the needless bloodshed of our sons and daughters and mothers and fathers.

I wish that I could be as confident about that as you. However, you can't fight a world war with a volunteer Army. Thats what it will turn into.
Reply By EveMarie EveMarie | 6 months ago
We need to start pushing for a war tax.
These neocon war-hawks (Democrats included) want war but don't want to pay for it. If it started coming out of our pocket NOW, maybe people wouldn't be so inclined to endorse it.
Reply By dwill6413 dwill6413 | 6 months ago
Thats why the Politicians like the Federal Reserve, they can borrow and inflate to pay for the spending without raising taxes and the citizens are clueless. Except when the price of everything goes up, the standard of living goes down and the economy stinks. Its all linked.
Reply By indie-voice_dot_com indie-voice_dot_com | 6 months ago
Absolutely, that's what Ron Paul means when he says that "inflation becomes the tax".

Thanks Stephanie for the blunt truth!I was not aware of Ron Paul's predictions and policy.
Most of the points he has mentioned are so true.
It's a shame that 28 of Pakistani troops were killed today by the NATO attacks.
My thoughts are with those of my fellowmen who lost their loved ones.
I am hopeful that matters will cool down and relations between U.S. and Pakistan will not be as bad as they are presently.

See if you can get a hold of his book, A Foreign Policy of Freedom.
It is really an easy read.
Each one or two page chapter is nothing but his congressional speeches on foreign policy dating back 30 years.
You will be amazed.

Then get a copy of Liberty Defined.
You will see things in a much clearer light, I promise!
Well worth EVERYONE'S time.

Ron Paul is all anyone I meet want so talk about. Keep spreading the message, once people hear it they are hooked! I see today that Ron Paul is now mentioned in the NY Times as a chance to win in Iowa.... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/26/opinion/ok-now-ron-paul.html but of course they have spun it so that it is said that this does not count for much! What will they write when Ron Paul wins the next Presidential Election!

During the early and mid 90's there was pressure to reduce military spending as there was no longer any credible military threat after the fall of communism. So a threat had to be invented. The only thing they could come up with was militant Islam.
Attacks like these keep militant Islam bubbling along and get 'em another few hundred supporters.

The US spends more on arms/military than the rest of the world put together. Are u really going to argue that this is a cost effective way of combatting a few thousand lunatics?

Same sort of stuff with Iran. Iran has (or did have) a large opposition movement to Ahmadinejad. The more the US talks about bombing Iran or applying sanctions the weaker this (secular) opposition becomes. People tend to band together if they can be persuaded thay have a common enemy.
Do u really think Iran is going to commit suicide by nuking Israel?
There is a large well educated, relatively secular, middle class in Iran. If u walked around one of the wealthier districts of Tehran it is not so different from lower Manhattan.

So whilst the US drains its strength fighting phoney wars in the ME, China grows stronger. Now they might be a credible threat in 50 yrs time.
They have already said they are revamping their military to fight a more "technological foe".

P.S I hate the term Al-Qaeda. It gives a romanticism/mysticism to the idea of militant Islam. Al-Qaeda is a term invented by the US in the late 90's to prosecute two militant Islamists under the Ricoh laws. Osama Bin Laden liked it so much - he adopted it.
