Sahit Muja: Newt Gingrich was a winner of Republican presidential debate.

Mitt Romney made Newt Gingrich sound reasonable, sane, intelligently pragmatic and humane about the immigration issue.

Never thought I'd see that.

I think Newt showed that they will not say anything to get into office.

Newt Gingrich disagreement with the rest of the Republican party over immigration proved that.

Romney does nothing more than pander - it's as if he has a mental checklist of various elements of the electorate he wants to satisfy every time he opens his mouth.

The emigration issue will surely cost Newt Gingrich votes but proves there is at least one of them besides Ron Paul who will speak what he believes , not what their handlers have told them to parrot

Ron Paul was right on the mark when he identified the war on drugs as a complete and utter failure that undermines our national security.

Until the United States adopts sensible drug policies that recognize the folly of prohibition, the nation will waste billions of dollars each year in a losing effort, continue the expansion of a criminal class that has no basis in reality and otherwise imperil our security around the world.

Why we blame the poor guy who crosses the border so he can earn enough money to help his family but do nothing to the fat cat American who hires him?

My opinion is start throwing the Americans who hire illegals in jail and there won't be any reason for illegals to come here.

Illegal immigration is not a black and white issue. I agree with Newt's stand.

He takes in a 360 degree view - the impact on society, the economy, and the family.

You can't just boil it down to illegal vs legal.

The issue is more complex and it takes an intelligent man to see that. The cracking down on employers who hire illegal immigrants is only solution.
