Coffees of Hawaii - Raking of Washed Arabica Beans

Get ready for the breaking news of the day – very soon, coffee would go out of reach of the common man. It would be one of the first casualties of global warming!!! One has to forget waking up in the morning with a cup of coffee or sipping the invigorating drink as he gets his strategies ready to improve his business potentials.

It seems coffee, the plants from which the coffee beans (Arabica beans) are removed are susceptible to changes in temperatures and climatic conditions. Colombia is one of the regions in the world from which coffee comes and the recent spells of heavy rainfall have caused damage to the crops – the result is a drop in production.

The effects are already being felt – the yield has plummeted from 12 million bags three years back to hardy 7.8 million. This is reportedly the lowest in the past 33 years!!
