Captured Saif Al-Islam: Inside the Transport Plane, Nov. 19, 2011

Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) confirmed Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, has been arrested in the south Libya.Libyan militia commander Bashir al-Tayeleb said Saif was captured with two aides trying to smuggle him out to neighbourring Niger.

On June 27, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued warrants against Muammar Gaddafi and Seif al-Islam on charges of committing crimes against humanity in crushing anti-regime protests during the Libyan revolution.

The European Union urged Libyan authorities on Saturday to ensure the captured son of Muammar Gaddafi is brought to justice in full cooperation with the International Criminal Court.

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court said Saturday that he will travel to Libya next week for talks with the country's transitional government on where Seif al-Islam will be tried while Amnesty International urged Libyan authorities to transfer Seif al-Islam to the ICC base in the Netherlands as soon as possible.

Meanwile, Reuters correspondent Marie-Louise Gumuchian said that she met Saif al-Islam Gadhafi and he told her that he was feeling fine after being captured. Saif al-Islam Gadhafi was asked about the bandages on the thumb and two fingers of his right hand. "Air force, air force," he said. Asked if that meant a NATO air strike, he said: "Yes."One month ago."
