Bible Verse of the Day
105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
For today there are no earth shattering revelations (not that there really ever are) J, but rather a simple look at this verse and reminder of a part of it’s meaning.
On the surface the terms lamp for my feet and light for my path seem redundant, basically meaning the same thing. As I read them this morning I noticed a distinct difference I had not been previously aware of.
Lamp for feet, to me, means help me see the things I do that trip me up and get in the way of the abundant life Jesus promises. The agreements (the enemy’s lies and half truths) I accept as full truth , the decisions I make, etc..
Light unto my path lets me see more clearly the things that others and the enemy put in the way on this journey with God.
As we learn the truth of His Word and apply it to our lives we begin to see life from a perspective that had not been apparent before.
It is my prayer for you and I that today (and tomorrow and the day after…0 that God’s Word would indeed light our way.
Have a blessed day,
