Religion and Capitalism

It is amazing how ruthless society in England, at least from what I hear and sense round Barnsley, has become in terms of religion and money. Often they seem to think a person must have high social profile and be well liked by secular society, to be religious and given respect by church. The label of beliefs seems to be attached to the rich and successful, part of the profile.

Disabled and minority groups not pulling money and success can be libelled by churches as whores, and worthless. Their right to pray and have a conscience is hardly heard or respected. Yet they may be more pure in their thinking than the rich church members. In effect you can get so stinking a mentality that the church throws a message that lower income or disabled ones not fitting in have religion as worthless as that of a moralising whore.

I hope this cleans up. I have complaint in to C of E office on vulnerable issues. Some would say put you in the nick for speaking out. I hope it gets better. I would not have much hope from what I have seen.
