At least 15 Islamist insurgents were killed on Wednesday in attacks by unmanned U.S. drones in a tribal area in northwest Pakistan, the main sanctuary of Al Qaeda in the world, military sources announced.
The action was the second in two days of "drones" of the CIA stationed in neighboring Afghanistan, often attacking Taliban fighters in Pakistan.
'drones' fired 10 missiles at a Taliban camp in Pakistani Baber Ghar in the tribal district of South Waziristan," he told AFP a local army commander.
According to military sources, the victims were Pakistani Taliban and "foreign", a term commonly used to describe Al-Qaeda fighters coming from Arab countries or Central Asia.
