Police use the trap of freebies to corner the suspects

The word was spread round that free beer would be available to those who could provide the police with information. And - 19 suspects fell into the well laid trap. Greed got the better of them and they are now cooling their heels in jail.

The trap codenamed ‘Operation Rocky’ was sprung by the police of Derbyshire. They sent letters to the suspects who had been evading arrest for months. They had been involved in crimes like burglary, robbery and serious sexual assault. The gist of the letter was that if they contacted a specific telephone number, they could claim a free crate of beer!!

Full credit should go to the police team for evolving this unique method of tracking down criminals with least expenses and with more efficiency.
