Wednesday evening update: Mom did not run out of gas according to investigators who said her car had plenty in it, according to MSNBC News.

“The story doesn’t add up, the whereabouts of Sky are unknown, the mother’s story is falling apart day to day, and her lack of cooperation so far in regard to providing more information proactively and submitting to a polygraph, doesn’t help," Bellevue police Maj. Mike Johnson told KING 5 News.

The case of the missing Washington state boy, Sky Metalwala continues to take a turn for the worse after 48 hours have past, mom refuses polygraph, and now people have said they haven't seen Sky for a couple of weeks, according to King 5 News in Seattle.

Police focused on interviewing Shelbi Owen Tuesday night, the friend who picked up Sky's mom when she said she ran out of gas Sunday after leaving her son Sky in the car when she left for more than an hour to get more.

But no gas can was found, Sky's mom, Julia Biryukova, continues to dodge a polygraph and no one except a neighbor claim to have seen Sky for the past two weeks, according to investigators on the case.

"It's been over 48 hours and there's been nobody that's come forward telling us where Sky is, so obviously foul play is under consideration here," said Bellevue police spokesperson, Carla Iafrate.

"We want people to call in," Iafrate said. "That's how we've solved some of our crimes in the past. It's very important that if there's anybody that has information about Sky to call in."

Electronic billboards are being used, FBI and several others are on the case, and the father's church has organized their own search.
