The Last Sikh Martial Warrior is Seeking an Apprentice

Nidar Singh Nihang is the last surviving master of the Sikh Martial Art, Shastar Vidiya. 45 year old Nidar Singh wants to keep the traditional and ancient art alive and for which he is seeking an apprentice who will be willing to travel to his home town Wolverhampton and learn the great martial art with pure dedication.

'I am the last known remaining master - it is my mission in life now to find a successor to carry on this great martial art. If I die with it, it is all gone.', he said to Mailonline.

Shastar Vidiya started in the 17th century when the sikh religion was under attack from the Hindus and Muslim. Later during the British rule, the myterious martial art was banned.

Shastar Vidiya is a rigorious art that involves hours of yoga, meditation and training.
