The University of the Philippines Information Technology Development Center (UP ITDC) the Ideal Prototype in IT training in Asia

Information Technology News Asia--Information Technology and Communication (ICT) in Asia contributed a significant expenditure in net exports, IT Training and education in the second half of 1990's.

In the Philippines the ICT sector in training and IT education "mushroomed" at the advent of the outsourcing Industry in 2000 in the National Capital Region alone.

The establishment and inception of the UP information Technology Development Center in 2004 broke new grounds producing graduates who later earned greater trust from companies from the ICT industry that contributed in shaping the IT community in the country today.

Ranked as one of the Big leagues in IT training and education, UP ITDC has become a catalyts to individuals and ICT Companies, that promotes, new knowledge in the field, instead of "merely following worn out paths."

UP ITDC hand in hand with the University of the Philippines Information Technology System Foundation (UP SITF) takes pride in its roster of top caliber faculty members, a number of whom hold teaching positions at the University, consultants to various information and communications technology initiatives, with extensive experience delivering solutions to the challenges faced by organizations in the IT world, operating with state of the art facilities and equipments.

Moving ahead from its Marketing department, Information Technology operations, Content Development, to the Trainers and teaching staff, UP ITDC is a new development and alternative in Philippine IT training and education.
