You live in Pittsburgh or Nashville and yet you're not getting any news about the Occupy Wall Street activities in your town? My town continues to serve me the usual buffet of murders and the crimes of proles, not the larger crimes of the big banks or the underlying conditions that drives the drug wars in any substantial tri-state area.
Well, there is a dedicated channel that is sponsored by Firedoglake that shows the wide range of stories that are being generated not only in your local city, but throughout the world. There is a theory behind the channel, as least as long as I'm editing it. The channel should be enjoyable and entertaining to watch. This means the best bits and best information that you can find from the OWS movement/rebellion/uprising that also fits into three to five minute blocs. Sometimes there are longer videos but only if they have something special to say.
Yes there is a global revolution livestream of the Occupy Wall Street Movement which is sometimes very gripping but is at other times like watching paint dry. The idea behind the channel, as best as I can articulate it, is to get people to look at the channel who aren't necessarily True Believers in some kind of class based analysis of capitalist societies. It should be, if the job has been done right, entertaining as well as informative.
It's impossible to embed a video channel (I think) on these pages so I'm going to give you some locations where you can find the Firedoglake Occupy Wall Street movement channel.
You can also find the channel at Firedoglake:
(Full disclosure: I was asked by Firedoglake to design and program the channel. That's because I have experience in creating online video channels.)
