Recently i founnd out that there is also clothing made of bamboo, so i ordered some socks and found out they agree more with me then the cotton ones. I figured how great a material this is and since bamboo grows easy, fast and nearly everywhere, i think this is a most promising clothing material.
In addition to that i noticed there is also clothing made of hemp and nettles, which also grow easily and in nearly every climate. Instead of cotton which grows only in a warmer climate.
It suddenly deserves attention i'd say to consider those crops aswell, instead of turning only to cotton, which is grown with the use of a lot of pesticides.
It is like they say never bet all your money on one horse, still we tend to use mainly cotton for clothing, even though there are other crops which are very promising since they can be grown in areas where cotton does not grow.
I also think that when we consider using bamboo, hemp and nettels, we sudenly have the possibility to grow clothing material in practicly every climate. Aswell as have the choice to what material we are going to wear. It would certainly be beneficial to the ecosystem as we start using other materials which are grown easily, and in addition to that allow us to wear clothes which have many upsides.
For example cotton has the downside that when we sweet we get all sweatty since cotton absorbes all the sweat. Whereas bamboo is a much more comfortable material since it does not absorbe all the sweat. I tried bamboo socks for example and noticed i don't have those sweatty socks all day like the cotton does. It is much more comfortable.
To me bamboo, nettles and hemp are the clothing materials of the future, and once we decide to start using them well see i wide range of clothing changing the clothing industrie forever.
