Pakistan's swimming queen Kiran Khan is the youngest athlete in the contingent representing the country at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games which opened on Friday.
At 17 years and 232 days on Saturday, Lahore-born 50-meter and 100 swimmer has earned the unique honor for the country after having started the sport at the tender age of four.
"Its greatest honour to represent Pakistan in Olympics and its like dream come true," she said. Swimming with the best in the in the pool with world's best is itself a grand feeling, she said.
Kiran Khan, who has dominated Pakistan ladies swimming scene for the past five years will be appearing in women's 50 meter freestyle on August 15.
Kiran Khan represented Pakistan in 2007 World Swimming Championship in Melbourne featuring 50 meter backstroke and Butterfly and 100 meter Freestyle.
She got the timing of 31.56 seconds in 50-M Butterfly and 31.56 seconds in Backstroke and 1min 04.69 seconds in 100-M Freestyle in Melbourne.
