PTI rally in Lahore Imran Khan (Lakin) 30 October 2011

It was a historic moment in the history of Lahore when a massive crowd, to be somewhere in the region of five hundred thousand to some experts, gathered to hear the public speech of their beloved hero Imran Khan. Lahore hasnt had such a huge crowd in at least 25 years, when Benazir Bhutto returned from the exile back in 1986.

Imran Khan had held the gathering to protest the corruption, lawlessness and gross-mismanagement. it was a show of the great strength by a party which is less than two decades old and has only been in opposition. It was a clear singal that the monoploy of Nawaz Shereef of PML-N over Punjab is about to come to end as it was very visible a much less crowd in the rally held by Shahbaz Shereef only two days ago with the luxury all the public wealth and resources.

Despite the magnificient display of power, his most stubborn rivals are still living in the mode of denial and calling the tremendous show as a moderate gathering. Little do they realize that their time is almost over and they must prepare themselves to read the writings on the wall, the sooner they do, the better it is for them.
