Afghan president’s comments rile US lawmakers

WASHINGTON: Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is certain to be questioned about Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai’s recent statement that his country would back Pakistan if it go to war with US.

Clinton’s appearance before the House Foreign Affairs Committee is coming just days after her trip to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Lawmakers are expected to enforce her on plenty of issues,like voilence in Syria, withdrawl of troops from Iraq and statehood of Palestine in United Nations.

Several law makers were angry on the statement given by Karzai, suggesting that Obama administration should think upon dollars, as well as american lives and withdrawl of its troops from foreign soil.
