Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

-- Gen. 14:24 (KJV)

However, Abram made sure that those who helped him in the battle were properly rewarded. Stop looking for your own personal gain and look to help others. The time that you take out of your life to help others will be the exact same time that God will begin to help you.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 5,6,2,1,4. (5) To stay in God's presence, look for restoration. (6) To expose evil, look for restoration. (2) The name Aner means "cast out, an exile, sprout, a lamp swept away." Walk in God's kingdom or be cast out of His presence. (1) The name Eshcol means "cluster, cluster of grapes." Stay in the anointing in order to experience fruitfulness. (4) The name Mamre means "bitter, causing fatness." Stay in God's Word to be free from bitterness.
