Three days after an earthquake, teams rescue survivors in Turkey

Three days after the earthquake of 7.2 magnitude that struck eastern Turkey, crews rescued three survivors on Wednesday. The strong aftershock Sunday killing at least 461 dead, officials said.

According to the Turkish state television, on Wednesdaytwo teachers and a college student, were rescued all in Erciş, the city most affected by fear.

The student, Eyup Erdem, 18, was first rescued. Then in two separate operations, the teams found the teachers and Gozde Bahar Sediye Erdem.

Sediye was trapped in the rubble of a five-story building. When rescued, she said she was thirsty and asked for her husband, who was with her when the quake hit. He died.

Gozde Bahar, 27, was wounded and medical sources said, her heart stopped briefly en route to hospital. She was revived, but her condition is serious.
