President Barack Obama’s “Iraq War Is Over” declaration after announcing US Forces pull out from Iraq before the end of the year 2011 must have awakened and tickled the territorial design and ambition of Iran to invade Iraq as it did during the early regime of the bearded Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomenie in the 1980s. US Forces pull out of Iraq poses a threat to American interests and influence in the region but, seen as an opportunity for Iran to ramify its roots of power in Iraq and in the Persian Gulf at large.

Let it be recalled that, US led Coalition Forces(Bush-Blair Forces) invasion of Iraq in March, 2003 was mainly anchored on the notion that, Saddam Hussein had amassed weapons of mass destruction (WMD) despite of reports issued by then, Chief of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohammad Elbradi attesting that,“Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction”. The Bush sponsored invasion of Iraq went on as planned and exacted by his Republican war think tank with signified supports of coalition forces which included United Kingdom’s Tony Blair who consequently resigned his Prime Minister post because of participation in the actions in Iraq. Also, equally reminiscing, the US invasion of Afghanistan on October 07, 2001 was US President George W. Bush’s spontaneous, angry and repulsive reaction as an aftermath of the World Trade Center Bombings on September 11, 2001. In effect, the US Economy supported two (2) wars since then till these days in the name of “war on world terror”. Supporting two (2) full scale blown wars in addition to other military commitments in other parts of the world in pursuance of US Foreign Policy, American taxpayers were practically angry then, until these days for the Republican war decisions that have had eaten and still eating much money from the coffers of the American people which clearly resulted to the nosedive slow down of the US Economy causing much difficulties and sufferings to the middle income earner Americans.

Obama’s decision to pull out American forces from Iraq awakened the Republican warlike mentality advanced by no other than top brass Republican Senator John McCain of Senate Armed Services Committee who strongly criticized Obama’s decision of withdrawing troops from Iraq. He maintained that, withdrawal of the US troops would result in victory of Iran in the region. This suggests that, the Republicans want that the US Economy would further go down to lower scale than where it is today. They really want to impoverish the American people by prolonged spending for longer wars instead of fixing the necessities at home.

Nevertheless, State Secretary Clinton through CNN interview recently as gleaned from a reliable source, issued strong warning to Iran “of dire consequencies when it would expand its authority and influence in Iraq after US withdrawal”. She further explained that, “US cooperation with Iraq would continue and protect its interest in the region”. The lady State Secretary expected that, “through the Shiiti Muslim community in Iraq could be manipulated by Iran however, any plan would be repulsed and won’t progress. The Iraqis are in a better position to decide any future course of action they may undertake and they would reject any Iranian intervention in their country.

The strong warning of Mrs Clinton of any Iranian actions on Iraq defines clearly the US position should there be any “abnormally unexpected Iranian eventuality in Iraq”. Similar warning spelled out affirmation that, President Obama’s decision to pull US Forces out of Iraq would be a reality at the end of the current year.
