The Deputy High Commissioner United Nations Human Rights Kyung-wha Kang, concluded a three-day mission in Chile.

In the coming days will also visit Paraguay and Uruguay to collect information on the situation of human rights and encourage the authorities to strengthen the inclusion of human rights in political agendas.

"Unfortunately, my visit has been framed in a climate of violence in the midst of social claims. I have watched with concern as isolated groups take advantage of the peaceful demonstrations to violent actions. In some cases, I have also seen the excessive use of force by part of law enforcement, "said Commissioner.
