National Council announced the arrival of the body of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to Misurata.
"We announce to the world that Gaddafi was killed while he was in the hands of the revolutionaries," said Vice-President of the National Transitional Council (CNT), Abdul Haziz Ghoga, at a press conference in Benghazi .
"He was killed in an attack of our soldiers, said the information minister of the provisional government, Mahmoud Chammam.
