Chloe Morgan and Mary are students in Paris or province, and to finance their studies, chose to prostitute themselves rather than having a lower paying job and more binding, a phenomenon that all the experts are struggling to understand.
At a time when student unions point to the high cost of education, Chloe, 32, told AFP: "It's because I started prostitution, I could go back to school" in the medico-social sector.
In his school in Paris, it is "one of the few to work", but has talked to a teacher who was concerned about his poor grades.
And for good reason, in Bac +3, Chloe walks the streets at night Porte Dauphine and sometimes has difficulty getting up in the morning.
"The phenomenon of prostitution is not a new student (but) the people involved do not recognize themselves in prostitution," expressing "+ + escorts, hostesses, etc..," Said Philippe Andres, of the Association's Nest Montpellier, a combination of prevention.
Chloe "claims" his choice and refuses to be considered a victim, like Morgan, 24, master of letters in Grenoble and "escort" for two years via a website. "For less hours of work, you win much more. It fits well with studies," she let go.
Marie, 25 year old student in Bachelor of province, turned to prostitution after repeating his first year of college, where she had a student job.
"I was working too, in order to ensure my rent, my books, my lunch and I was left very little time to my studies. I dragged myself underway, I was no longer able to revise or manage priorities between the rent to pay (...) courses to learn the job and that should be kept, "said she.
"My parents are part of the middle class, I have no right to scholarships or housing Crous. With this method, I can manage to study for my degree and build my future career," says it.
According to South Student, a student who works a 40% lower chance of graduating a student-employed, which would explain, according to the union, some are turning to "prostitution".
Morgan has a stock market and housing assistance who left him, rent paid, "200 euros a month," the price of a pass than an hour. Prostitution him "can live well, to buy books and to put money aside."
"It's just a body"
"When I get tired I'll stop, but for now I do not ask," says Morgan. Marie will also cease when it has "a stable employment situation and earnings."
But Jean-Sebastien Mallet, European expert on prostitution is concerned: "All I say at the start + + stop when I want and some do, but how many drop out of school?"
"It takes time for people to measure the consequences" of prostitution in "reality often more creepy than what they are saying," says Andres.
"At first it's difficult, admits Mary, then we say that this is just a body. Anyway, I choose the men and what I do or not."
"Prostitute themselves without constraint (no pimp) is sleeping with a person that we choose but pay. Physically, it is less difficult than the days when I ran extension between jobs and courses," argued the student who said winning 2000-3000 euros per month.
Lydia Guirous, president of the association Future feminine, regrets that "more and more young people (have) resort to prostitution out of necessity and sometimes facilitated by" denouncing a "trivialization."
