Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said the agreement with the Palestinian group Hamas for the release of Gilad Shalit was a "difficult decision" that was adopted after lengthy negotiations.Netanyahu called it "very exciting" to see and embrace the soldier on his return and return to his family.But he also acknowledged the pain of relatives of people killed by some of the 1,000 Palestinian prisoners included in the release agreement in exchange for Shalit.
