A light aircraft carrying 12 people crashed shortly after takeoff and caught fire in Botswana, causing the pilot and sevenpassengers were killed European nationality.
The accident occurred Tuesday at 14-10 through remoteOkavango Delta of Botswana, which is located in the southernAfrican region, according to Modipe Nkwe Agency for CivilAviation of Botswana.
The Cessna 208 crashed only minutes after takeoff from the airport Xakanaxa, in a conservation area north of Botswana. Thedead included the pilot and a British tourist, three French andthree Swedes.
The rescue workers faced many difficulties due to terrain. A doctor said the authorities will conduct DNA tests to identify the bodies because the dead too severe burns.
