Libya NTC Forces Enter 'Bani Walid'

There are more good news for the revolutionary forces in Libya. Reports coming from the ex President Col Qaddafi's stronghold suggest that the NTC forces have been able to enter the city.

The revolutionary forces have been trying to push out the remmanants of Col Qaddafi from Bani Walid since the fall of the Tripoli. But their every attempt was met with stiff resistance. The made a concerted effort last week also but had to back off because of heavy gunfire from thr pro-Qaddafi forces.

The latest reports suggest that the NTC forces were able to enter the city from two sides amid fierce battle with the pro-Qaddafi troops. At the moment they are trying to consolidate their gains and get a strong foothold on the liberated area.

Meanwhile the battle for the Col Qaddafi's hometown Sirte continues. The Qaddafi loyalists are not giving up and are still holding onto their positions. At the same time in Tripoli the bulldozers have started dismantling the famous compound of Col Qaddafi - Bab Al Aziziah.
