Sons of the American Legion to Host Monthly Fish Fry

The Cedar Lake Sons of the American Legion will be hosting their monthly fish fry on Friday October 21st. On the menu will be the usual array of fine dinners including the popular walleye pike and lake perch. There is also shrimp, beer bettered cod, crab cakes and catfish. Mini corn dogs and personal pizzas have been a hit with the kids. A Chicken strip dinner is also available.

The special of the month will be Commander Franks homemade Fettuccini alfredo. You have your choice of grilled chicken $9, Shrimp $12, Scallops $12 or a shrimp & scallops combo $14. All will be served on a bed of fettuccini and broccoli and then topped with Commander Orsini’s homemade alfredo sauce, and served with garlic bread and a tossed salad. “All summer long people have been asking when I’m going to do the fettuccini again. Said Sons Commander Frank Orsini. “Well here it is. I suggest you get there early.” Also available for sale will be Frank’s homemade creamy garlic dressing.

The fish fry runs from 4-8 pm and is open to the public. The post is located at 13050 Washington St. Cedar Lake In. For carry out please call 374-5701

Proceeds from the fish fry’s are used for veteran and community programs. The Sons would also like you to know that they have started their 4th annual winter coat and clothing drive. Gently used coats and cloths can be dropped of at the Post to be distributed throughout Cedar Lake.
