This will be the games third visit to Arizona when the Valley hosts the the Super Bowl in 2015. The Valley has come a long way. According to TucsonCitizen, AZCentral and the Chronicle Herald, this will be the third time the area has hosted the event to be played in Glendale, Arizona. When the Giants beat the Patriots 17-14 in 2008, it was held at the University of Phoenix Stadium and Tempe, Arizona hosted the Superbowl in 1996, with Dallas beating Pittsburgh 27-17. The Arizona committee screamed with joy when it was announced Tuesday. Phoenix beat Tampa area in a bidding on the second ballot. Tampa has hosted the Superbowl game in 1984, 1991, 2001, and 2009, with Indianapolis hosting next year's game, followed by New Orleans in 2013 and the New York/New Jersey area in 2014. Superbowl 2015 game is the 49th Super Bowl.
