NCAA Fencing Championship Gold Medal Sabre Bout

The Russian Velikaia Sophia won the gold medal at the World Women's saber fencing, beating defending champion American Mariel Zagunis 15 keys to 14 on Wednesday night in Catania.

Velikaia has broken the dominance of the women's saber Oregon, double Olympic champion (2004/2008) and twice world champion in individual (2009/2010).
