Earlier today, October 9, 2011, Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell got married in a civil ceremony at the Marylebone Registry Office in London, England.
Nancy Shevell, 51, wore a knee-length, V-necked, long-sleeved white dress with fabric-covered buttons at the bodice and the cuffs, accessorizing with cream flowers in her hair and metallic sandals. She will henceforth be known as Lady McCartney!
The bride’s wedding bouquet had pink and white roses, while the groom wore a boutonniere with a pink rose bud.
The former Beetle Paul McCartney, 69, wore a navy suit, white shirt and periwinkle blue tie – looking a good 20 years younger!!!
Veteran journalist Barbara Walters attended their nuptials in a lovely red dress, accessorizing with taupe crossover pumps.
Former Beetles band member Ringo Starr, as the only other surviving member of the band, attended with his wife Barbara Bach, both wearing black outfits.
Paul’s son James McCartney was also in attendance, as was daughter Beatrice, who acted as a bridesmaid.
The McCartneys and their guests then made their way to the McCartney’s North London home for their wedding reception.
Sir Paul reportedly also performed a new song as a gift to his bride at their wedding reception. October 9 would have been another former Beetle John Lennon's 71st birthday!
Daughter and haute couture designer Stella McCartney arrived later to attend father Paul's wedding reception, dressed in a black and white floral sheath, accessorizing with a black clutch purse.
Congratulations to the couple who have finally married after several years of dating!
Take a look at the slideshow I’ve put together of the nuptials of Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell and thanks as always for visiting!
