2011 MLB Playoffs - New York Yankees Vs. Detriot Tigers Game 5

Detroit Tigers takes on Texas Rangers in American League Championship Series Asturday night in Arlington Texas. Check live score, go here.

Tigers manager Jim Leyland is fresh from winning 3-2 victory in ALDS clincher against the New York Yankees on Thursday night. Pitcher Justin Verlander who took a pitching relief on Game 5 will start tonight against Texas ace CJ Wilson. Verlander's has impressive regular season with 24-5 record, 2.40 ERA, 250 strikeouts. While Wilson's statistics is good as well with 16-7 record, 2.94 ERA, 206 strikeouts.

Verlander is 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA in three career starts at Rangers Ballpark, but lost his only start against Texas this season, 2-0 with a complete game at home in April. However, Detroit Tigers slugger Delmon Young is out of the AL championship series because of an oblique injury he suffered in Game 5 against Yankees. It would be a setback as he will be replaced with infielder Danny Worth.

Check the ALCS schedule, dates and start time.

Meanwhile Texas Rangers came off with a three day rest by wrapping up early against Tampa Bay Rays. Adrian Beltre powered the Rangers to the ALCS by hitting three homeruns in a game Game 4 clincher. With the Tiger's Delmon Young absence tonight the Rangers batters has a clear edge.

Texas Rangers don't match up well against Detroit Tigers in the MLB Playoff in the regular season when Detroit won six of the nine games. But most of those games Beltre wasn't in the team yet.

Tigers vs Rangers will kickoff at 8:05 pm ET on FOX. Check live score, go here. Check this page later for more live updates.
