The relationship between the US and Pakistan has been a tumultuous one to say the least, and this month, both sides have been pushing back. On September 22nd, Outgoing Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen testified that the US government believes the Pakistan based Haqqani network was responsible for the recent attack on the US embassy in Kabul. This has resulted in Pakistani officials denouncing Admiral Mullen, and even Pakistani talk shows discussing how to react if the United States were to attack.
