Renewable Energy Sources

Globalgiving.org has the following update that will benefit from your support: RenewableEnergy: Empowering 4,000 FilipinoFamilies. This project aims to improve the lives of the poor and there is a youtube video included in the report. The summary lead-in states the following: "Community-based small scale renewable energy projects are harnessing hydro, solar and/or wind power providing clean/affordable energy to rural poor Filipino villagers." Is that a noble endeavor?

In light of recent Nuclear catastrophic events, it is important to utilize the advances in concert with the environment. At the same time, improving the lives of the living, may be even of greater benefit. Vicky Lopez, Executive Director, for this project has set a target to raise $80,000. Please consider this project in some way or another. To your success!

Note: Here is the link to SIBAT or Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya, which aims toward "Enabling poor communities achieve self-reliance through science and technology." For a brief compilation of other causes related to Manila and the Philippines, please visit this Manila Charities page.
