Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic advanced to the semi-finals

Book Czech Radek Stepanek, seeded seventh place in the third round of Japan Open on Wednesday.

In the second round of the championship Stepanek won the Swiss Marco Ciodinella two sets to one 7-5, 6-7, 6-1.

And qualified Australian Bernard Tomic to the third round after beating Japanese Tatsuma Ito 6-7, 6-1, 7-5.

And American Mardy Fish stepped up the fourth seed to the same role after beating Ernests Gulbis of Latvia player 6-2, 6-4.

In the first round of the tournament Andy Murray beat second-seeded Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis 7-6, 2-6, 6-4 lost its Serbian Janko Tipsarevic in front of the Russian sixth seed Dmitry Tursunov 7-6, 6-7, 7-5.
