LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor, Barrister Masud Kausar

has said that tribal journalists should play their prime duty for the

sake of solidarity and integrity of Pakistan.

The was said by the KPK governor to a delegation of tribal journalists

meeting held on Wednesday. He said that tribal journalists should keep

in mind that by his reports he made for his media organization could

bring destruction in Fata. It was the prime duty of the tribal

journalists to project the soft image of the Fata people.

A delegation of Tribal journalists met the KPK governor, Barrister

Masud Kaosar on Wednesday in demanded for their protection and

allotment of the plots.

Talking to reporters of print and electronic media the governor said

that along with the other people tribal journalists have been badly

affected in the last ten years. He said that the job of a journalist

was more risky as compare with a soldier as a journalist has no

equipments to be used for self defence and to protect from the any

incident happing while reporting from the militancy hit areas.

The governor reminded the tribal journalists said that several legends

and top heroes given birth in the Fata soil. However, he said that we

should give message of peace and humanity to the world.

He lauded the life of Pashtu poet Ameer Hamza Khan Shinwari known as

Hamza Baba that he always wrote for the welfare and prosperity of the

human kinds.

The governor regretted the media role specially the foreign media for

projecting Fata as the hub of militant. He said that dozens of

developmental projects are under process which should be projected in

reports. Regarding developments in the tribal areas the governor said

that 15 billion rupees have been allocated this year for the uplift

schemes. The KPK governor urged the tribal journalists to highlight

the soft corners of the Fata people. “Tribal journalists should show

their patriotism and work for the awareness of the laymen in Fata”,

the governor said.

While talking about the FCR the governor said that he was so grateful

for the joint efforts made for the change and the draconian regulation

of FCR. He assured the tribal journalists for the he will soon

construct press clubs in Jamrud and Landikotal subdivisions of Khyber

agency. He directed the political agent,Mutahir zeb, who was also the

part of the meeting that allocated amount for the scholarships for the

poor tribal journalists. He lamented the situation of Fata hospital

said that soon a committee would be set up to inquire the vacuum of

ignorance. He said that no one would be pardon if found guilty in the

poor system of hospitals in Fata. He announced rupees 0.5 million for

the Khyber agency press members.
