The federal court in Sydney in Australia starts on Tuesday the trial of the credit rating agency Standard & Poor's to whom he accuses of losing millions of dollars to several municipalities in the country.

A total of 13 municipalities in the state of New South Wales state that the British department of the agency in 2006 prompted them to buy bonds with the highest AAA rating.

But two years later the investment is devalued by 90%, causing losses of U.S. $ 14 million.

The complainants are demanding the company return loss by the rating and the entity that issued the securities.
