Two Mexican soldiers were arrested for allegedly kidnapping a child under 13 years, according to the prosecutor's office said Sunday the northern state of Chihuahua.
An elite force rescued the girl on Saturday in a house in the border city of Ciudad Juarez six hours after the family reported him missing, authorities said.
The two soldiers were in the home allegedly holding a minor.
The Chihuahua State Attorney's Office reported that the gang leader, Roberto Ortiz Perez, remains at large and is running an operation to stop it.
The soldiers were identified as Jonathan Obed Molina Lopez, alias "The Curl", 22, and Francisco Zuniga Daniel Salinas, 21.
