Chinese House Christians Arrested on Easter Holiday

Do you want the real reason why the country of China has not become a superpower and more than likely will never become a superpower even though their country is the most populated in the world? The Chinese government suppresses expression of the people. As a result, there is no cultivation of creativity and innovation throughout the entire land.

Take for example how the Chinese government attempts to squash out religious expression. Any Christian church within China that is not affiliated with the state-run government is forced to shut down or face the consequences.

One of the churches that the Chinese government has cracked down upon is the Shouwang Church in Beijing. The attempted shutdown started about six months ago when the government began to bar the people from entering the church every Sunday morning. Instead of quitting, the congregation of Shouwang Church continues to meet ever Sunday outside in the parking area for worship services.

Over the past six months, around 500 members from this church have been arrested by the Chinese government. In some instances, the arrested are sent to labor camps in which they are given a daily dose of torture, forced labor, and political re-education.

If you would like to help fight against this injustice, then you can contact the Chinese Embassy at this link.
