300,000 people evacuated as typhoon in China Nesat

Hong Kong battens down as typhoon winds hit

About 300,000 people were evacuated when Hurricane Nesatlanded in Hainan Province (China) at 9.29 pm.

According to Xinhua, the storm has turned many streets NesatHainan into a river.

The local authorities had to cancel many flights, closed schools andsuspended ferry services.

As authorities prepare to storm Nesat not seem to cause much damage in Hainan province.

This is the most powerful typhoon hit Hainan since 2005, Xinhuaquoted a department official said.

Earlier, the storm swept Nesat Philippines has killed at least 43people and caused 30 others missing.

The more than 160,000 people in the Philippines is still alive in thetemporary evacuation center.

Nesat storm has caused damage to the Philippines was estimated at 91 million, according to the Associated Press.

It is not clear losses in Hainan province of China.
