NEW YORK - The boss of the Police of New York, Raymond Kelly, he announced on Thursday an internal investigation to clarify if there are true the complaints of a group of demonstrators who make sure that they were sprayed by gas pepper during a celebrated protest last weekend in the south of the city.
Kelly indicated in press conference that both the department of internal matters of the Police and the Council of municipal Review of Civil Complaints will evaluate the behavior of one of his agents, who according to the activists used the said gas against several assistants to a march next to the square of Union Square.
The incident received by the cameras of several videoaficionados and hung on the portal Youtube, shows to a police officer throwing a substance that supposedly is a gas pepper to a group of four women of the movement " Occupy Wall Street ", who have encamped eleven days in Wall Street.
" Not what precipitated this specific incident ", he told Kelly, who affirmed that he has seen the images but the conduct of the demonstrators was "tumultuous" and they were " pawned in cutting the traffic ", reason by which approximately 80 were arrested this day for resisting the authority and hindering to the vehicles.
The movement " Ocuppy Wall Street " summoned for this Friday a protest against the " harassment and brutality " police with a declaration that will go out from the square Zucotti, next to the zone zero, up to the central head office of the Police, in the heart of the financial district.

They go eleven days of protest

Most of the "outraged" are camped on two private parks near the financial heart of the city, where the owners allow them to stay, even up to 16 members of the movement were arrested last week for painting graffiti or wear masks as shown in the movie "V for Vendetta" (2006).
According to Efe a detailed then official spokesman, a state law dating back to New York in 1845 prohibits two or more people wearing masks in the same concentration.
Last Tuesday was one of the busiest days since the protest began, as the police forcibly removed part of the camp of the protesters, who have not been allowed to mount extended tents and sleeping bags and arrested a total of nine people.
