Bomb kills one policeman and wounded five civilians in Afghanistan

A bomb planted on a motorcycle exploded Thursday near an airport in western Afghanistan, killing a woman police and five civilians, an Afghan official said.Sayd Sharif Mohammadi, police commander at the airport in the city of Herat, said the attack on Thursday morning, five women was aimed at police officers who were aboard an official vehicle way to work at the airport.Mohammadi said the bomb was detonated by remote control.He said the blast also wounded 10 people: the other four officers who were on board the police vehicle, the driver and five civilians who were near where the explosion occurred.
