Part 04 - Michael Jackson Assistant Testifies

9.29.11, Los Angeles, California]----The King of Pop's death trial entered its second day as witnesses took to the stand with dramatic testimony.

Live coverage on CNN showed Michael Jackson's doctor, 58-year-old cardiologist Conrad Murray, as he again sat red-eyed in court on Wednesday and listened to witnesses recount the disturbing events surrounding the pop star's death on June 25, 2009.

Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death, accused of repeatedly administering dangerous drugs to his client over time and finally killing him with the lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol.

Jackson's personal assistant Michael Amir Williams testified that Dr. Murray called him frantic on that day about 12:13 p.m.,leaving an urgent voicemail on his phone which said, "Call me right away."

Williams said when he returned the call three minutes later, the doctor claimed Michael had "a bad reaction" and ordered Williams to come to the mansion immediately. The prosecution stressed that Murray called the assistant instead of paramedics because he had something to hide.

Williams added that the call did not prepare him for what he saw because "a bad reaction" didn't sound like anything "fatal" had happened.

When paramedics were finally called that day around 12:20 p.m., the doctor allegedly still did not tell them that he had given Jackson propofol, according to the prosecution.

The assistant said when he arrived at the mansion, it was "real frantic" and the ambulance was taking Michael away.

Williams also recounted a strange request he received at the hospital from Dr. Murray. After Jackson was pronounced dead, he said the doctor asked him to drive him to the King of Pop's mansion to retrieve a "cream Michael wouldn't want the world to know about."

The implication here is Murray wanted to go hide the drugs he knew he should not have given Jackson.

Asked by the defense if he had ever seen or heard Michael heavily drugged like in dramatic audio played in court on Tuesday, the assistant answered "not as bad as on the tape but yes I had." He added that he often accompanied Michael to the offices of a Dr. Klein.

Williams said he always waited in the car for his celebrity boss, who many times came out of the office "slower, with slightly slurred speech."

Other witnesses recounted the chaotic, tragic scene on the day Michael Jackson died. His children reportedly witnessed the traumatic image of their father dead in his bed, mouth open. Faheem Muhammad, head of security at the time, testified that the singer's elder son was horrified at the sight of his father.

The promoter of Jackson's last tour "This Is It," the 50 city super-concert the singer was preparing for when he died, also took the stand, saying Dr. Murray had demanded $1 million for one year of care for Michael Jackson but that they finally agreed on $150,000 a month.

The question is that why was the doctor giving MJ those things if he knew that they were harmful for him?
