Police arrested a resident of Massachusetts on charges of intending to blow up the Capitol and the Pentagon in Washington using aircraft with a remote control.
"A resident of Eshland, 26-year-old Rezvan Ferdaus was arrested on Wednesday in the city Framingem (40 km west of Boston). He is accused of plotting to destroy the Capitol and the Pentagon with a large remote-controlled aircraft packed with explosives," - Foxnews TV channel reported quoting its sources.
Ferdaus arrested during an operation conducted by agents of the secret services "under cover", which he had prepared and brought order to the place of the proposed transaction materials and weapons for the planned attacks, including grenades and six machine guns. According to the criminal case, the detainee - a U.S. citizen, graduated from Northeastern University - planned to "jihad" against the United States since 2010.
"He believed that by killing Americans, whom he called the enemies of Allah, he can cause significant psychological blow" - said the channel.
