And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
- Gen. 12:3 (KJV)
It had to take a lot of incentive for Abram to leave his family behind. Well, God provided that in this verse. God stated that He would bless those that blessed Abram and that He would curse those that cursed Abram. When you choose to walk in faith, then there is no need to feel like a wimp in the sight of anyone upon this earth. Blessed are those that bless you and cursed are those who curse you when you choose to obey God's commands. You don't realize how much power you have in this world when you choose to operate in faith.
This verse is the foundation for my book entitled "Curses Upon Mine Enemies." I no longer have to feel sorry for myself when someone disrespects me because I realize that a curse drops upon that person immediately. That type of impact can affect the world, which is why the second reward in this verse is that all families in the world would be blessed because of him. It works the other way as well when you have others bless you, then they will be blessed. Walking in faith can cause for people who bless you to be blessed. That impact made will be felt worldwide.
Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 3,6,1,2. (3) Stay in the Spirit so that He can bless those who bless you. (6) Expose evil so that God will curse those who curse you. (1) Stay in the anointing so that you will be able to impact the entire world. (2) Walk in God's kingdom so that you will be able to impact the entire world.
