
In a military office in the city of Benghazi, dozens of women wearing guns on their shoulders, listen to the last shot and martial arts. They are the latest group of new government of Libya military training to build a national army.
Forces ousted the former regime of Moammar Gadhafi is organizing military training for a large number of women. Many of them are housewives or the third-grade teacher. The women participating in the wave of protests turned Gadhafi from February to win back democracy and justice for those who have lost relatives.
At least 200 women have graduated since the program began in late March at the Office of the Benghazi military technology. They were selected to participate in the National Security Forces, similar activities of the U.S. National Guard team and are allowed to operate in separate cities. However, does not have a personal statement about putting women in combat.
Training Centre in Benghazi is one of the centers established throughout Libya. A unit consists of 20 unarmed women have been deployed to keep order in the main square of Benghazi when British Prime Minister David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy visited in mid Sakorzy.
Colonel Mohammed al-Shraidi Sabriya, an American women graduating from Benghazi military city in 1986 and is an expert on military intelligence, said there are currently eight staff are training 36 volunteers. This is a group of course graduates Wednesday.She said the students are trained on all weapons and self defense.Those who participate in this force will help protect security in the demonstrations, protecting banks and other cases.
