In a military office in the city of Benghazi, dozens of women wearing guns on their shoulders, listen to the last shot and martial arts. They are the latest group of new government of Libya military training to build a national army.
Forces ousted the former regime of is organizing military training for a large number of women. Many of them are housewives or the third-grade teacher. The women participating in the wave of protests turned Gadhafi from February to win back democracy and justice for those who have lost relatives.
At least 200 women have graduated since the program began in late March at the Office of the Benghazi military technology. They were selected to participate in the National Security Forces, similar activities of the U.S. National Guard team and are allowed to operate in separate cities. Colonel Mohammed al-Shraidi Sabriya, an American women graduating from Benghazi military city in 1986 and is an expert on military intelligence, said there are currently eight staff are training 36 volunteers.
