At the School Library Journal's Leadership Summit 2011, the report, Reading, Writing, & Research in the Digital Age was presented. The director, Lee Rainie, "looked at the “state of reading” in the digital age by going through Pew Internet data about how teens use the internet, smartphones, and social networking sites."
The presentation starts out by asking some insightful questions about the impact the digital age is having on teens. It refers to a timeline of Revolutions defined by how we access this media.
