New Vehicles on there way to Afghanistan to Protect Against Roadside Bombs

In Herat province in western Afghanistan, 16 civilians were killed, including eleven children, when a bus hit a roadside bomb.

Four others were wounded in the attack. A police spokesman in Herat blame for the attack on the Taliban.

- The Taliban are very active in this area, said police spokesman Noor Khan Neikzad.

Roadside bombs are a serious threat to civilians in Afghanistan, several hundred are killed as a result of bombs every year.
